[Visa Agency] 2020-1 Guide to applying for visa extension
Due to COVID-19, we highly recommend international students to apply for the visa work related to sojourn as a group from 2020.2.24. to 2020.4.30. (Must for students who have entered and left China after 2019.12.1.)
For the convenience of international students, I.S.S.S. office provides visa extension service. (Agency commission is extra)
This service is available for students studying in Seoul Campus
- Group reception period: 2020. 3. 18 (Wed) ~ 4. 29 (Wed) every Wednesday.
- Location of group reception: Global Zone on B1F of Chungwoon Building
- Contents of group reception: Visa extension, change of visa, alien registration
- Other: Students who need group application prior to 2020.3.18. (Wed) contact the agency directly.

[Submission document]
1. Application for extension of stay period and letter of attorney (visit after writing attachment)
2. Copy of passport
3. Original alien registration card
4. Photo (with white background, 3.5*4.5cm)
5. Standard admission letter
6. Final education certification
7. Bank balance certificate (over 20 million won)
8. Real Estate Contracts
9. Reason (relevant person only)
* Vietnamese students must submit high school graduation certificate and transcripts additionally.
※ Precautions
1. Applicant who want to change to D-2
- Statement of reasons: For language school students whose average attendance rate is less than 70 percent in the previous semester
2. Real Estate Contract
- If you live in a real estate contracted under friend's name: Real estate contract + front and back copies of friend's ID card + residence certificate
- Dormitory or Goshiwon resident: Submit a certificate of accommodation provided by manager
- The address on the back of the alien registration card and the address of the submitted real estate contract should be the same.
3. How to prepare a statement of reasons
- Write the reason of poor performance in Korean(handwriting).

9. Confirmation of guidance professor (Applicable only)
※ Precautions
1. D-2 Extension
- Bank balance certificates and reasons are only for students with an average score of less than 2.0 in the previous semester or the entire semester.
- For students whose graduation has been extended due to issues with their graduation thesis or credits, submit a certificate from a guidance professor and statement of reasons (The certificate from a guidance professor should have signature from the guidance professor and an officer in charge of international students)
2. Real Estate Contract
- If you live in a real estate contracted under friend's name: Real estate contract + front and back copies of friend's ID card + residence certificate
- Dormitory or Goshiwon resident: Submit a certificate of accommodation provided by manager
- The address on the back of the alien registration card and the address of the submitted real estate contract should be the same.
