Change of Status of Sojourn (D-2) or Extension of Sojourn of Period

For the convenience of foreign students, we provide visa services. By using this services, you can apply for a visa extension or change of visa without visiting the immigration office directly. Please note that students enrolled in Seoul campus can apply.
[Change of Status of Sojourn (D-2)]
Every Tuesday from August 13, 2019 to August 27, 2019 14: 00- 15:30, Global Zone
[Document Submission]
1. An application form and a power of attorney
2. A copy of Passport
3. An alien registration card
4. A color photograph (White background 3*4cm)
5. Certificate of admission
6. Final academic history verification
7. A document of bank account balance (nor needed by all)
8. A certificate of enrollment
9. A doc of final level of education (nor needed by all) and A transcript (attendance rate)
10. A tuition fee payment
11. A copy of lease contract
12. A statement of reasons (nor needed by all)
13. Service fee ($10~$12)
※ Notice
1. Change of Status of Sojourn (D-2)
- Please submit a statement of reasons: If you are a student at a language school: the previous semester's grade is less than 70% or the average attendance rate is less than 70%. If you are a university student: the average semester’s grade is less than 2.0
2. Lease contract
- If you live in real estate contracted with your friend's name: A copy of lease contract + a copy both sides of a friend’s identification + Confirmation of Residence/Accommodation
- Dormitory or Gosiwon resident: You should obtain a Confirmation of Residence/Accommodation from the manager of dormitory or Gosiwon
- The address on the back of your alien registration card and the address of the real estate contract you submitted must be the same.
3. Writing method of “A statement of reasons.”
-Free form / Write down the reasons for poor performance by hand on A4 paper in Korean language.

※ Notice
1. Extension of Sojourn of Period (D-2)
- Those who with less than 2.0 in your transcript on the university prepare to bank account balance.
- Those who graduation was postponed due to poor performance prepare to “A confirmation document of your academic adviser in the university.”
- In the above mentioned document, it is mandatory to have sign of a tutor and a staff member for foreign students.
2. Lease contract
- If you live in real estate contracted with your friend's name: lease contract + a copy both sides of a friend’s identification + Confirmation of Residence/Accommodation
- Dormitory or Gosiwon resident: You should obtain a Confirmation of Residence/Accommodation from the dormitory or Gosiwon manager
