2020-1 Samsung Global Hope Scholarship
Samsung Global Hope Scholarship
Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation is selecting scholarship recipients for 2020 Spring semester.
Please read the below information and attached file carefully before applying.
1. Eligibility
- International Students who currently enrolled in KyungHee University
- International Students from a nationality of country in the DAC List of ODA Recipients (see attached file)
- GPA must be 3.0 or higher (out of 4.5)
- Students who have financial difficulties and who have a high probability of returning to their home country and supporting its development.
- TOPIK Level 3 or above is preferred
※ Those who receive a full scholarship including the living cost(ex: KGSP) cannot apply
2. Contents of support (Undergraduate)
Scholarship
- Kyung Hee University covers a full amount of tuition fee
- Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation (SDSF) provides KRW 3,900,000 per semester for living allowance(dormitory, medical insurance, textbook, food, etc.)
- Scholarship will be received for maximum eight semester
3. Selection procedure
Application submission(1.15(Wed)) → Announcement of Document Evaluation(2.3~2.7) → Interview(2.26~2.29) → Announcement of the Final Results(At the beginning of March)
※ The document evaluation will be conducted only for students who are recommended by University.
4. How to Apply
- Deadline: 15:00, 15 January 2020 (Wed)
- Please submit the required documents to the International Student and Scholar Support Services (ISSS) (Cheongwoon Bldg 1st Floor)
- Required Documents (Please find the requested information attached)
① Application Form
② Self-Introduction and Study Plan
③ Letter of Recommendation (Attached)
④ Grade transcript
- Enrolled students: University(undergraduate school) transcript
- Freshman : Official 3 years of high school transcript or(and) University(undergraduate school) transcript
⑤ Official documents that can verify academic performance or foreign language proficiency
⑥ Official documents that can verify academic performance or foreign language proficiency(Either English or Korean)
⑦ Certificate of TOPIK Level
⑧ Awards and Achievements & Club activities and so on
⑨ Statement of Financial Resources (The documents that can prove family economic situation, etc.)
